Director: Claude Berri
Cast: Audrey Tautou, Guillaume Canet, Laurent Stocker

Synopsis
Based on the novel by Anna Gavalda, it explores the relationship, changes, etc among 4 different people (Camille, Philibert, Franck, and Paulette) who get to stay under one roof eventually. It reveals the fragility of people as well as the strength in them ...

My thoughts

What I like ...

-- IMHO, the few stealing scenes all belong to the same actor (i.e., Guillaume Canet) ...
(i) when he first had a reasoning session/argument with his grandmother
(ii) when he had his rows with Camille
(iii) when he went out in the morning to be alone by himself
* very heart wrenching indeed *
(iv) the airport scene at the end ...

PS: you either credit the actor for an amazing job or you credit the director/scriptwriter for making his role so prominent ...

-- There are numerous comical scenes/lines
(i) (since few pple are mentioning it, i will highlight her role first),
i.e., one of the cleaners (i.e., colleague of Camille)
(ii) of course the grandmother (for her quirkiness and attitude)
(iii) and Philbert...

What I thought could be better ...

-- Very humbly, I am not sure if the director did the book justice (which I have not read) ... My only problem with the film is ... although it is only about 97 minutes, I actually feel that the film is "long" ...

-- there are good moments, but they are rather scattered ...

Conclusion
Above average. I am interested in your views too ...
