A JOURNAL OF FILM AND FILM
and
FILM CULTURE

Film and Film Culture is a new, international film journal based in the Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland. It aims to attract a diverse readership, both within and outside the academy; its aim is to carry articles with an appeal to everyone interested in film. It will carry articles that reflect on film and film culture from a variety of perspectives: thus, articles on film history, film theory, film production as well as those on, for instance, individual films, actors, and directors will feature.

Contributions are now invited to issue one of the journal; the theme for this issue is "Film and Identity". Articles should be no more than 3000 words in length. In the first instance, abstracts, of not more than 300 words, should be sent to the editors at the contact address below. Where possible, abstracts should be sent electronically, in plain text format. Abstracts should be received by 1 May 2001.

Film and Film Culture will also carry book reviews. If you would like to join the panel of book reviewers, please contact the editors at the address below.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Further to your message posting in foreignfilms.com, I wonder if you might be able to provide me with information as to the number of foreign films telecast per annum in the UK and Ireland, broken down by country of origin. If you have such info, or know of a source for it, I'd appreciate your letting me know.

Many thanks and best wishes -

George Darley-Doran
