The purpose of this thread is to present and discuss films from Yugoslavia, that were made during the period the Socialist Republic existed. This includes films from Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and the autonomous regions of Kosovo and Vojvodina.
If you have seen any film from that region prior to 1945, please write down a few notes also!

Feel free to contribute.

When I get to some more Makajevek films I'll be sure to give them a proper write up. Anybody know where you can get a copy of I Even Met Happy Gypsies?

Nah, seems to be difficult to get hold of. Overall the DVD landscape regarding Yogoslav films looks very barren. I wonder if I should check out some of the films without subtitles. maybe my serbio-croatian will be enough for some of them. With "Do you remember Dolly Bell?" i didn't have any serious problems, and it's a good way of polishing your skills.
But i usually want to catch every detail, hell I even watch english films with subtitles.
