Director: Marco Bechis
Cast: Carlos Echeverra, Julia Sarano

At the Venice Film Festival 2001, it garnered 'CinemAvvenire' Award - Cinema for Peace Award.

A young woman appeared and claimed to be Javier's twin ... Slowly, she seemed to suggest that his "real" parents were killed by his "current" doting parents ...

What is good ...
-- The audience would likely follow the plot and want to know what happened in the past and whether the 2 protagonists were twins and would be united ...

-- A rather "intelligent/scheming" and "thought provoking" effort in scripting ... to let the protaganist love skydiving as a hobby ... esp. in relation to what has happened in history to "probably" his parents and the earlier generation ...

-- A scene near the end was intense ...
* possible spoiler *
... the male protagonist skydived ... and did not open his parachute ... he fell through the air ...
* end of spoiler *

-- Apart from the obvious historical message, I also thought it questioned
... "Are parents who give birth to you closer or are parents who bring you up closer?" ...
... "Is the past more important or is the present more important?"

What can be better ...
-- One may have to know the history of "desaparecidos" before appreciating the ending scenes better ...

Conclusion:
Recommended ...
