For people in the UK, South Bank Show tonight ITV 11.10pm. Discussing the Argentinian New Wave, should be interesting.

Directors up for discussion include Lucrecia Martel (La Cinaga 2001, La Nia santa 2004).

Pablo Trapero (El Bonaerense 2002) and Daniel Burman.

Cheers Trev.

I wish I was there. :(

I haven't yet seen Daniel Burman's latest (Lost Embrace) but have seen his earlier films.

I have to admit I've never seen a Daniel Burman film but I'd certainly like to.

The doc managed to cram a lot into it's meagre hour, mainly illustrating how Argentina's recent history has shaped its cinema and how the directors differentiate from each other in terms of their style and vision, very interesting.
