Director: Robert Redford
Cast: Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise

Some thoughts

-- Because there were so many negative reviews on the web about it, I was prepared and more forgiving. So, let me try to coerce some watchable factors ...

(i) definitely Meryl Streep. She carried off convincingly.

(ii) Some of the dialogues are thought provoking. Although many would have mentioned the dialogue between Meryl Streep and Tom Cruise (because it deals with politics and the media), I was actually quite interested by the dialogues between Robert Redford and the student. There are so many things to think about in the dialogues ... but humbly, i think it might serve better as a stage play with some refining (as opposed to a film) ...

What could be better

(i) Making the three stories better intertwined and plot driven ...

(ii) Although Tom Cruise can act in some other films, I thought he is not well cast in this film ... NOT his fault, but the casting's fault ...

(iii) And to some extent, less preachy?!

Conclusion:
Ok, watchable. Maybe it shld be staged (with some refinements) rather than filmed because the strength (if any at all) is in some of its thought provoking dialogues.

PS: apparently, the masses are more forgiving (IMDB 6.0/10) than the critics (rottentomatoes 26%)
