Good Night and Good Luck (2005)

Hmmm ... I am surprised we have never written a review on it ...

Anyway, I have watched it in US last year.

Two comments

-- wow ... the performance by David Strathairn was VERY gripping ... in fact, i have to give it to him because he still manages to captivate the audience despite a role without much range of expressions, i deem it a difficult feat (quite unlike Capote which has more "dramatic" scenes and actors can display their whole range of emotions and "method acting")

-- the cinematogaphy is good ... and we could hardly tell real scenes from archival footages ...

go watch it

Disagree with you there. The archival footage did stick out, and I got absolutely nothing out of Straitham's performance, I couldn't for the life of me figure out why he got all the praise he did and the Oscar nomination. Not to say the film was bad, just one of the most vastly overrated films from last year (along with Capote).
