Man, you're always buying such interesting titles. I wish I had more money and accesability. If I buy something it's usually just one of my favorite american films (these I can get cheap...).

A brings up a valid point. American films are always cheaper and easier to come by. There are countless foreign films I want but they're either not on DVD, or two to 4 times the price of the average American DVD. Just yesterday I picked up 4 DVD's, all of them American films. I got the Ten Commandments, which I originally didn't want, but the DVD has the 1923 version which I've been wanting to see since before I even got into movies. I also picked up the three newest titles in the Fox Film Noir collection (which means more reviews in the film noir journal.

There three newest titles are
No Way Out (1950) - Joseph Mankiewicz
Fallen Angel (1945) - Otto Preminger
The House on Telegraph Hill (1951) - Robert Wise

Of this bunch Mr. Preminger's film seems the most exciting, but I'm a bit of a fan of his regardless, whereas the other two directors are competent professionals, he's a more exciting auteur. Even though Fallen Angel was still in his studio days, before he became an independent producer and America's leading controversial filmmaker (the Oliver Stone of his day).

Just picked up

The Keys to the House
Private
Pulse (aka Kairo) &
One Night in Mongkok all for 20GBP.

There were quite a few other bargains as well but they were ones I'd already managed to get hold of at good prices.

Cheers Trev.
