Short Films and a Digital Revalation

Has anyone checked out any short films on the indie film websites lately? Any good ones you'd recommend? Why?

I saw a couple of good ones. One in particular, on IFilm called Blessed are Those, caught my attention. (I thought about it for more than a few minutes after viewing.) It was low budget but thought provoking and poignant.

I've been nosing around these sites for a couple of weeks now and it's got me thinking that the long term effects of the "Digital Revolution" in film that everyone likes to talk about may not be the special effects, cgi stuff of the blockbusters but rather the democratization of filmmaking itself. DV Cameras and reasonably priced editing software are putting the power of filmmaking in the hands of almost anyone who's interested. With a little forsight one can see something like this really effecting the way we see and think about movies.

Just a thought.
