I saw part of a film on IFC or Sundance, but can't remember the name. I think it was from Argentina. It was about an older dance coreographer. He falls in love with a girl whose ex-boyfriend is in the mafia. The film was memorable because the line between reality and the show he is preparing is blurred. At several times the camera is clearly shown in mirrors as the dancers rehearse. Very neat lighting and sets. Any one know this one? Thanks.

Hi, I believe the film you saw is entitled "Tango" by Spanish director Carlos Saura. For an even better dance film, see his "Carmen," made in the early '80s and an adaptation of the "Carmen" Bizet opera/story, and out of print, unfortunately, but a few good video stores (online/mail order) should have a copy for rent. Good luck!
