paul schrader's Mishima is another classic "suicide" film.
very powerful & a true story.

Try Virgin Suicides. Or a film starring anne bancroft as the mom and sissy spacek as the daughter. i can't remember the title, but the first scene had this line, (though i'm not sure if it's the first scene or the first line...) Sissy says to Anne, "Mom I'm going to kill myself in two hours, so if there's anything you want to say, say it..." or something like that...

I felt "Lost and Delirious" was a very good film dealing with suicide. Not many people saw it and that's a shame.

"Mouchette" is great and sad film by Bresson, also
Try " M.Buterfly" with Jeremy Irons

Possibly "Ratcatcher", though it's not really an issue for the main body of the work.
