In my city they are going to hold a foreign film festival. These are the movies playing that are from Asian countries. Can anyone say which are good and which aren't. Thanks!

I have Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. Well made movie, though its very violent. If violent movies don't turn you off, I highly recommend this one.

Sorry, I can't help with the rest, though I've hear of a few of the others, I haven't seen them, so I can't really speak for those. Have fun!

ICHI is the goriest, most nihilistic movie I've ever seen. INNER SENSES and THE EYE are decent horror movies. Some of these films are pretty old, like SEX AND ZEN, which mixes soft porn with comedy and fantasy. COWBOW BEBOP just had a wide release in North America. The film not to be missed from your list is the Korean MY SASSY GIRL.

Well, it's probably too late, but this is what I have to say. In any case, it's good to try to find movies even if there isn't a festival around.

Movies I've seen:
The Eye, In The Line Of Duty 4, Magnificent Butcher, Musa, Returner, Royal Tramp, So Close, Vampire Hunters

I'd recommend all of them except Vampire Hunters. Royal Tramp should be seen with its sequel, though (maybe seeing both of them together would make the movies seem understandable). In The Line Of Duty 4 is not to be missed - it's one of the best martial arts movies out there (go Donnie Yen and Yuen Woo-Ping!). Returner really rocks, great action flick.

Movies I haven't seen but would love to see:
Come Drink With Me (with King Hu, you can't go wrong, right?), Double Agent (with Korea's Tom Cruise, Han Suk-Kyu), Double Vision (Category III movies are always interesting to watch), Drive (if it's the one with Mark Dacascos, I've been trying to rent it, but it's never there), Green Snake (Tsui Hark movies are usually good), Inner Senses (Leslie Cheung's last movie(RIP)), My Sassy Girl, Naked Weapon (only if you're into Wong Jing's crappy movies), One-Armed Swordsman (if it's the 1967 version, I'd give my left arm to see it), Phone, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (both Korean movies that seem good).

That's what I think. Hope I'm not too late. Even if I am, I think it'd be worth looking for these flicks anyway.
