Hi everyone,

I am not looking to spam this message board, but I work for a company which offers a trip to the Cuba Film Festival for Americans leaving out of Miami. Simply put, we are trying to find people interested in going and this appeared to be a great location to spread the word around. We already have several groups leaving from California and the more the merrier. The more the merrier and I apologize if this post isn't appropriate. Thanks

Don

The Key West-Cuba Heritage Institute is a multidisciplinary institution whose mission is to advance research and teaching on Cuba-United States history and related fields, expand contacts, and enhance public awareness of Cuba in the United States. The Institute’s educational programs prepare United States citizens to understand the history of Cuba and Key West from the perspectives of centuries of cultural and socioeconomic exchanges. The Institute is interested in both breadth and depth of inquiry in a wide variety of fields, including the humanities, sciences and social science.

The Key West Cuba Heritage Institute offers several itineraries through the end of 2003 for interested parties in the New England area. Please note all active United States government issued licenses expire by the end of 2003 and legal travel opportunities to Cuba will not be available in 2004 due to the presidential election.

Hello everyone,
I hope you are all having a great week and I would once again like to thank everyone who has responded to me about our programs to Cuba. Please contact me if you are interested in enrolling in these exciting programs.

A number of people have informed me their availability in 2003 prevents them from taking part in these trips. As I have mentioned before, all travel licenses expire at the end of this year and future U.S. policy of allowing travel to Cuba has not been finalized. That being said, if you are interested in visiting Cuba in the future please send me your information so I may keep it on file and contact you when the new policy has been finalized. Please note this may not occur in 2004. Thank You.

Here are a couple of news stories. One involves the Key West Cuba Heritage Institute's concert in Key West Sunday night October 12th featuring Los Van Van and the other involves Bush's speech concerning his policy on Cuba.
