(it was on tv in Vancouver about a year and a half ago, if that helps)
-I'm not really sure, but for some reason this old, single out of work cello player from one of the russian-controlled countries ends up taking care of a little Russian boy while his mother is away or something. I think he has to lie to do it, and say that he and the mother are married, or maybe they actually got married, but if so it was only so that he could take care of the boy. The boy gets lost on the subway at one point, and near the end he gets quite sick with fever, but gets better, and then he is returned to his mother. The mother tries to pay him, I guess agreed bribe money, but he refuses to take it. I think at the very end he ends up playing cello again.
-doesn't sound like much, I guess, but it was a really good movie and I can't find the title anywhere. Help please!
