color versionof the 39 ronin?

i am seeking the title of a beautiful film i saw in the 60s. it was a colored japanese version of the epic of the 39 disgraced ronin in their quest to revenge their lord. i believe it was called kushingura, or cushingura. can anyone help me track it downwn?

Chushingura, directed by Inagaki,1962,is almost certainly the version you're after.There have been several films of this famous tale of 47 Ronin.Japan's greatest director Kenji Mizoguchi,did another well-known version in 1942-The Loyal 47 Ronin of the Genroku Era, in black and white.If you look carefully in one of Woody Allen's films-i'm pretty sure it's Manhattan- you'll see Chushingura sign outside a cinema, so i guess he likes it.
