The Ten Best Turkish Films were determined by a poll by the prestigious Ankara Cinema Association, starting with the 1964 production, Dry Summer by Metin Erksan, and leading up to Nuri Bilge Ceylan's award-winning 2003 release, Distant.

The Girl with the Red Scarf (Selvi boylum, al yazmalim/1977) - Atif Yilmaz

The Road (Yol/1982) - Serif Goren

Motherland Hotel (Anayurt Oteli/1986) - Omer Kavur

Mr. Muhsin (Muhsin Bey/1987) - Yavuz Turgul

Innocence (Masumiyet/1997) - Zeki Demirkubuz

Distant (Uzak/2003) - Nuri Bilge Ceylan

Thanks for that- very interesting. Most i've not seen, but if memory serves, The Girl with the Red Scarf is in the top 50 imdb drama films now, so should be worth a look (if available).
