Now here's a director who's meant a lot to me.Just thinking about some of his early films gives me goosebumps.Paris Texas and Alice in the Cities are 2 of my very favourites;i feel a lovesick nausea welling up.It's the hope of similar sublime experiences that keeps me an avid film watcher.Am trying to ensure i never watch them once too often;i've approached further viewings with extreme caution, but wasn't disappointed.I didn't do a Wenders top 10,'cos i don't think his later films deserve it.Kings of the Road is also magnificent,Wings of Desire and The American Friend superb. Many liked Buena Vista Social Club, but for me this is still very minor work compared to his earlier glories. Here's hoping he can still rediscover the magic!

You don't think Million Dollar Hotel was just as brilliant as say, American Friend (though it's no Wrong Move or Paris, Texas)?
