Hapiness of the Katakuri's is great entertainment, adapted from the Korean film "The Quiet Family" but with the addition of some terrific claymation, musical numbers and even more absurdity than the original, I have and enjoy both films.

Miike's contribution to Three Extremes is also far more controlled than his usual fare and is certainly better than Chan-wook Park's contribution although nowhere near as good as Fruit Chan's "Dumplings."

Dolls is Kitano's most arty movie and I've got to be honest, it's one of my favourites.

In the UK, Unknown Pleasures is packaged with the excellent Xiao Wu, I was just wondering if it was the same in the US?

You certainly purchase a great variety of DVD's wpqx.

No, in the US Unknown Pleasures was released by New Yorker, without Xiao Wu, shame for me, becuase that is the only one of Zhang-Ke's films still unavailable here (considering the World is in theaters, and Platform is being released on DVD in 9 days).

Well I asked the guy what he had from Miike, and walked away with quite a bit, feel a little ignorant of his work. Wanted to pick up Audition too, but ran a little low on money.

Well first for the legitamate DVD's

Together (2002) - Lukas Moodysson
Yeelen (1987) - Souleymane Cisse

Now for my artsy crap that doesn't actually exist on DVD

Meat (1976) - Frederick Wiseman
Law and Order (1969) - Frederick Wiseman
Made in USA (1966) - Jean Luc Godard
These are the Dammed (1963) - Joseph Losey
Pixote (1981) - Hector Babenco
The Passenger (1975) - Michelangelo Antonioni

And the last few Kenneth Anger films
Innauguration of the Pleasure Dome (1954)
Invocation of My Demon Brother (1980?)
Lucifer Rising (1972)

I have to get through my Wiseman, Godard, and Losey but as soon as that's done, Passenger here we come. It's probably gonna suck, but I've been wanting to see it for too damn long.
