Ok so much for trying them out. Damn, any idea if its monetary, or if its a legal issue? Criterion's Eclipse label has promised some of the films already put out by the people at Japanese New Wave, so I blame them. And Madhuban for never ordering anything.

Too bad, as I was waiting for their Terayama releases.
But they have been at least trying to do something, so the effort is laudable.
Guess I'll have to start purchasing from "other" sources...

I am blaming myself for not ordering their Christmas/New Year deal of 125 dollars each for all the Oshima and Imamura releases. The Kerala festival in early December left me dead broke for the rest of the month

I can understand your situation. Because I purchased so many DVDs during the last months I'm also broke. If it weren't for my accreditation I would have had to get a loan from my bank to attend this years Berlin film festival.
One cannot have it all.
