Hmm, after having read your comments, this doesn't sound very interesting anymore. I assumed there would be more reflection on pornographic imagery and our society, but you don't make it seem like that. Yes, maybe one or two more female directors would have made a difference...
Maybe I'll watch it if i stumble over it.

Try and make the effort if you have the opportunity A, we could be in complete disagreement which would certainly add a little interest.

I'm sure most of you know this site, www.ubuweb.com What made me think of it is Trevor's classification, especially the section on animation. Those of you who aren't familiar with Ladislaw Starewicz, please download The Cameraman's Revenge . If you have been regaled by Walt Disney, try Starewicz from the 1910s!!! Astounding is the word

And, don't forget Joris Ivens' Rain.

Rain is available here on DVD but I haven't gotten to it yet. However, I have seen Ivens' The Spanish Earth which he eventually made in collaboration with Hemingway, and I was quite impressed by its essayistic nature. I'd love to see more from him.

I saw Rain, and I may have made some comments about it here. I watched so many silent avant-garde films I can't honestly remember much about it. I've been curious to see The Spanish Earth for awhile, I imagine its better than that year's overblown and offensive The Good Earth.
