hey wheres the color in andrei rublev??

its says here in the database that andrei rublev is a black&white/color movie just like stalker, ijust saw it and all the movie was completely on black&white, so please clear this up to me.

There is colour for the last 5-10 minutes or so, where the majority of visual material is provided by the icons painted by Rublev himself, if I'm not mistaken.

What about the very end of the movie, the montage of icon paintings? That should be in color.

oh i see, guess the copy must be old, i found it on a videorental store and its pretty old

i have seen a copy of ivan the terrible with the colour sequence reduced to black & white maybe the same happened to you with rublev i guess it's up to who supplied the print in the first place.
