Kids sharing a pair of shoes-Indian?

Postby pianoflu » Mon Jul 28, 2003 6:16 pm

I rented a movie once about a brother and sister who had to share a pair of shoes. They would meet in an alley to exchange the shoes and go to school. I think the boy entered a race and won?? Does anyone know the name of this film?

The Name of the Movie is Children of Heaven, directed by Majid Majidi. You might also want to check out Baran, also by Majid Majidi. Both DVD's are avaible from DeepDiscountDVD. I enjoyed both of the films. Lots of good movies coming out of Iran.

Thanks so much! That's a great movie. I'll definitely check out Baran too.

Great film. Please note that it's from Iran, not India.

Yes, its from Iran, as I said : 'Lots of good movies coming out of Iran'. Not sure where you got India? Though, nothing against films from India, Apu Trilogy is one of the best films ever made, amongst several other great films from India that I've seen.
