Title of Japanese film...

Postby quigley_brown » Fri Dec 26, 2003 2:55 pm

I am trying to find the name of a Japanese film I saw about ten years ago...probably made in the mid-1970s. The story, set in present day Tokyo, involves a scam by a husband and wife who push their young children in front of cars who pretend to be injured in order to extort money from the drivers. Any help appreciated.

The film you're talking about is probably "Boy" by Nagisa Oshima, made in 1969. Unfortunately I haven't seen it myself, but I know it's supposed to be a classic. I have looked for a VHS or DVD copy of the film, but haven't found any. Someone should release more films by Oshima.

I've not seen it, but sounds like Oshima's film Boy/ Shonen (1969)
