Kubrick's "The Killing"

Is The Killing not listed under Kubrick's film because it was produced under MGM? If so, did this cause Kubrick's break from the US and Hollywood?

I don't understand what the first question your asking means... but as to the second question: He left, as far as I know, firstly, because it was easier to get funding for his films in England. Secondly, he became a bit of a recluse because of some death threats he received after Clockwork Orange (but so did Scorsese after Taxi Driver, and he didn't leave the country)... Plus, from stories and interviews I've read, Kubrick sounded like a naturaly paranoid man.

I was asking why "The Killing" wasn't listed in this database under Kubrick films... It has "Killer's Kiss" but not "The Killing" a completely different film.

"The Killing" is an American film, innit? So, doesn't qualify as foreign...

The Film Encyclopedia (Ephraim Katz) mention that the first
Kubrick film was Fear and Desire, 1953; Second one was
Killer's Kiss, 1955; Third one was The Killing, 1956,and
this one makes him notest as a director. Then came Paths of
Glory,1957. He left Hollywood uncomfortable with regulations on his work and lack of indendence for his work
I am not a follower of Mr. Kubrick. I think that his films were always overrated.
