Then you have more exposure to them than people here in Germany. They get almost never screened anywhere. But if you want to see them, they are of course easier available.

Is Parade of the Planets (Vadim Abdrashitov, USSR, 1984) a short? I recall reading about it somewhere, but have forgotten all of the information...

No, Parade of the Planets isn't short. Its length is 97 minutes. It is a metaphysical masterpiece from one of the most underrated Soviet directors. To retell the plot is senseless.
