Nath Storm (Lon McCallister) takes an after-school job with farmer Pete Morgan (Edward G. Robinson), who repeatedly warns the teen to stay out of the property's haunted forest -- and away from the mysterious red house within. But spooky stories don't sway him. Enlisting help from Pete's daughter (Allene Roberts), Nath heads into the woods to uncover the truth. This gripping 1947 film was director Delmer Daves' sole foray into the horror genre.
