At work on a top secret government project, Rajesh (Dharmendra) is abducted by a rival faction and replaced with a lookalike, Garçon, in this espionage thriller. The impostor infiltrates the project, working unnoticed as he searches for Rajesh's secret formula. As Rajesh tries to escape his captors and clear a phony murder charge, Garçon romances Rajesh's fiancée, Rita (Sharmila Tagore), who doesn't realize he isn't her man.
