In 1930s England, sensitive orphan Holly Aird (Rowena Farre) and her repressive Aunt Miriam (Jane Lapotaire) aren't getting along -- until a baby seal enters the picture. When the ladies decide to raise the seal themselves, their home becomes a friendly animal refuge, and their efforts attract the attention of handsome naturalist Bernard Lacey (David Birney).
