After an unsuccessful operation results in the tragic death of his wife, Dr. Anton Phibes (Vincent Price) unleashes deadly biblical plagues -- including bees, bats and frogs -- against the inept surgeons whom he holds personally responsible. Disfigured by a serious car accident, Dr. Phibes can only take in food through his neck and relies on the help of his beautiful assistant, Vulnavia (Virginia North).
