Brigitte Bardot stars as Agnes, a nun who goes on a beach vacation with her convent, only to leave them behind and have her own adventure. Once she's on her own, Agnes meets a carefree prostitute named Lisa (Annie Girardot), whose life Agnes wishes were her own. But after she ditches her religious calling to become a call girl, a series of embarrassing mishaps makes Agnes to wonder if she made the right decision after all.
