A group of idealistic Chinese students (including Cherie Chung and Andy Lau) move into Toyko's Shinjuku district to attend school in a less competitive and less stressful setting. But they soon find themselves hopelessly embroiled in the deadly Yakuza underworld, with little hope of surviving midterm examinations … or anything else!
