While on assignment in London to manage the renovations of a hotel, New York architect Michael Lewis (Andrew McCarthy) discovers what losing control truly means. Plagued by nightmares and overwhelmed, he accidentally kills a woman in a horrific car accident. When her spirit visits him and tells him he now has the power to talk to the dead, he begins an altogether different mission: catching a serial killer.
