Based John Grisham's novel, this coming-of-age TV movie follows young Luke Chandler (Logan Lerman) through a summer of life-changing experiences, both good and bad, as he mingles with a diverse group of immigrants working his family's farm. The fabric that makes up a small town is depicted in random events, such as a suspicious murder, a single woman giving birth to a baby and the old Chandler house getting a new paint job by a caring stranger.
