Chanda (Hema Malini) lands in a brothel while searching for her missing father. The brothel keeper agrees to let her live there without having to get into "the trade." But Chanda's talent for music and dance make her famous in the town, and people flock to see her perform. Rajesh (Dharmendra), a young college professor, asks that Chanda not encourage his students to waste their time in that evil place. But gradually, love blooms between them.
