Eleven-year-old Izzy spends his "down time" breaking into people's New York City apartments just to "mess with their heads." It's all part of an elaborate escape effort to create his own stable world -- far away from the chaos that engulfs his family. On that note, his mother (Mary-Louise Parker) must contend with the difficulties created by her husband's recent stroke -- and also deal with raising three other children.
