Major Jaidev Rajvansh (Anil Kapoor) releases Mishra, a politican, from the evil hands of a terrorist named Abhrush (Danny Denzongpa). Abhrush is taken into custody but vows he will get back at Jaidev one day. Once home, Jaidev reunites with friend Anjali (Madhuri Dixit), whose feelings for Jaidev have grown, even though his heart lies with Pooja Mallapa (Namrata Shirodkar). The jilted lover joins forces with Abhrush to get revenge.
