Roberto (Jorge Perugorría), a professor in Miami, decides to venture on a road trip across Cuba, ostensibly to search for the mother who may have abandoned him. But as he explores the island with a cabbie, he learns the shocking reality about his emigration as a boy. Unexpected detours, near-death experiences and a parade of bizarre characters inhabit Roberto's trip as he starts to view life from a fresh (and funny) perspective.
