In French director Étienne Chatiliez's dark comedy, the Guetzes -- Edith (Sabine Azéma) and Paul (André Dussollier) -- conspire to get their 28-year-old, high-achieving son, Tanguy (Eric Berger), out of the nest after realizing he never intends to leave home. But Tanguy continues to move blithely through what he thinks is a charmed life, forcing his parents to resort to ever-more desperate measures. Hélène Duc plays Tanguy's snide grandmother.
