Anthony Hopkins and Bob Hoskins star in Shakespeare's tragedy about jealousy, love and deceit. Set in Venice, the play centers on the Moor Othello and his love, Desdemona. Angry that Othello chose Cassio as his officer and not him, the treacherous Iago conceives plan after plan to destroy Cassio and get back at Othello. The two-faced Iago eventually convinces Othello that Cassio and Desdemona are having an affair, with truly tragic results.
