Lonely soul Alfred Salteena (Jim Broadbent) transforms himself for the sake of love in this adaptation of Daisy Ashford's novel. Smitten with Ethel Monticue (Lyndsey Marshal), Alfred soon realizes he's too unrefined to compete with the dashing aristocrats who impress her, so he enrolls in etiquette school. With some guidance and a little help from friends, Alfred hopes to win Ethel's heart. Hugh Laurie and Bill Nighy also star.
