Brash rodeo star Cadillac Jack Favor (Clint Black) is falsely convicted of a double murder. While serving his time at Angola Prison, he competes in the Angola rodeo, attracting hundreds of outsiders to the prison and giving him the strength to keep fighting for justice. With the help of a fellow inmate who studies law in his free time, Jack files an appeal, while his wife (Lisa Hartman Black) convinces a lawyer to take her husband's case.
