Sexually liberated actress Nina (Juliette Binoche) moves to Paris, where her path crosses with three very different men. She's drawn to each of them for different reasons, but struggles to make a lasting emotional connection. Real estate agent Paulot falls for Nina, but she's more intrigued by his roommate, Quentin, an actor with emotional baggage. She eventually develops her deepest bond with director Scrutzler, who casts her in "Romeo and Juliet."
