Ballerina Maya Plisetskaya and the Bolshoi Ballet bring a cherished Russian folktale to life in this 1960 production, in which a carefree young man (Vladimir Vasiliev) is taught valuable life lessons when he becomes the master of a magical flying horse. His adventures take him from the clouds to the depths of the sea thanks to some clever animation. This production features new music by Rodion Shchedrin and choreography by Alexander Radunsky.
