While visiting a remote island with her wealthy husband, Parker (Don Murray), Catherine (Olivia Hussey) engages in a one-night stand with yachtsman Peter (Tony Denison). When Catherine rejects the idea of sleeping with Peter again, he becomes completely unhinged and sets out to control her. With her marriage and safety in serious danger, Catherine must overcome her fear and bravely confront her tormentor.
