Lou Diamond Phillips stars as Keenan Deerfield, a recently paroled outlaw trying to go straight in a hardscrabble mining town run by a corrupt businessman (Warren Stevens). Deerfield risks his newfound freedom when he takes up the cause of the exploited miners. But his path toward redemption gets trickier when he falls for a troubled woman (Marina Black) with ties to a local henchman (Richard Tyson).
