Betsy Brown Shea (Shirley Temple) is a talented orphan who boards in a hotel for entertainers. When grumpy owner Sarah (Edna May Oliver) threatens to boot her, Little Miss Broadway starts to tap her toes to the tune of "Be Optimistic," "If All the World Were Paper" and more.
