Punch (Pierre Brault) lives up to his pugilistic name working as a bouncer at a popular nightclub, keeping the riffraff at bay. No one thinks there's anything else behind his steely facade except for Judy (Brigitte Robinson), a boisterous woman not known for sizing up people very well. But something in Punch strikes Judy with an emotional force, enabling her to see him for what he truly is: an artist.
