In this fantastical anime, teenager Shobu Kirifuda and his pals are astounded when a card game they play calls up the characters featured on the deck: swashbuckling creatures who do battle in real life. Shobu steps up to the plate as an able soldier, but as these episodes prove, taking on the villains of his favorite game is much more difficult when they appear in flesh and blood. But if anyone is truly capable of vanquishing them, it's Shobu.
