Two working-class Brits spend their off-hours discussing dog races and Winston Churchill. They also read the tabloids and society pages. One day, they meet a movie star they've read about and proceed (without apparent reason) to savagely beat him. Al Pacino directs and stars in this drama based on the play by Heathcote Williams.
