After inventing a device that accurately predicts tornado patterns, meteorologist Jake Arledge (Gerald McRaney) tries to sell it to his superiors, only to be told that it has no value. In part to save a small town from destruction -- and in part to prove his point -- Jake teams with his estranged daughter (Thea Gill) and a former colleague (Steve Braun) to move people from the twister's path.
